One of my all time favourite poems

The Cookie Thief
by Valerie Cox

A woman was waiting at an airport one night,
With several long hours before her flight.
She hunted for a book in the airport shop.
Bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop.

She was engrossed in her book but happened to see,
That the man sitting beside her, as bold as could be.
Grabbed a cookie or two from the bag in between,
Which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene.

So she munched the cookies and watched the clock,
As the gutsy cookie thief diminished her stock.
She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by,
Thinking, "If I wasn't so nice, I would blacken his eye."

With each cookie she took, he took one too,
When only one was left, she wondered what he would do.
With a smile on his face, and a nervous laugh,
He took the last cookie and broke it in half.

He offered her half, as he ate the other,
She snatched it from him and thought... oooh, brother.
This guy has some nerve and he's also rude,
Why he didn't even show any gratitude!

She had never known when she had been so galled,
And sighed with relief when her flight was called.
She gathered her belongings and headed to the gate,
Refusing to look back at the thieving ingrate.

She boarded the plane, and sank in her seat,
Then she sought her book, which was almost complete.
As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise,
There was her bag of cookies, in front of her eyes.

If mine are here, she moaned in despair,
The others were his, and he tried to share.
Too late to apologize, she realized with grief,
That she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief.

How many times in our lives,
have we absolutely known
that something was a certain way,
only to discover later that
what we believed to be true ... was not?

Whose gift is it in the end?

If you send or give a person a gift (be it kind words, love or harsh words) and they don't respond to it or want to receive it..... Whose gift is it then?

Buddha talked about this, in a more eloquent way I'm sure, and I find it to be a good way of describing how to place yourself at the cause of your life as opposed to the effect. Which gift would you like to give yourself?

Martinus...........

It's incredible to think that we in Denmark had this beautiful being Martinus amongst us for 90 years (1890-1981). He wrote about 9000 papers and is regarded as a world redeemer. I look a this man with so much compassion as it must have been a challenge for him to incarnate in what he called his monkey suit and for him to live in a society where the killing principle still ruled and rules. But yet it's all in order with a higher plan eventhough we still need the ability to see compassion in everything. Because as he would say "All is surely well".

Lyset i betydningen viden
og videnskab er stærkt
tiltagende, men varmen,
næstekærligheden skorter
det endnu meget på, og
kærlighed kan ikke læres
på universiteter og
læreanstalter. Den læres
kun i livets egen skole
gennem skæbnedannelse
fra liv til liv.

Its raining... men, frogs, cats, and dogs?

Go figure on my day off it's raining like crazy and my basement has flooded.

I'm practising the non-attachment state like mad.... It's just stuff.

I think I'll just sit in my reading chair and listen to radio Atlanta's Bluescast and get into my blues state.

I need to finish my Joseph Campbell book anyway.

Come what may. I'm ready, Goddess of Rain.

The First Breath

I have touched the white wolf,
in dreams she licked my hand
I yearned for mergence with her,
in knowing
she was I.

The shaman entered every fiber,
a whispering chant of ages.
I welcomed him so willingly,
hungry wisdom
that travelled.

I entered states of eternity,
receiving the gift of breath.
I had at long last become,
in silence
the witness.

The Cheating Mistress

Now I've done it... I have become the cheating mistress of two wonderful states Arizona and New Mexico.
I feel like I could burst of happiness and energy. I now truly believe that I will be the change I wish to see in the world.
Come what may... I'm ready : ) Let love be the energy

One Of My Favourites:

Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson
From Return To Love: Reflections On The Principles of A Course In Miracles.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Sweet love of my united states/ Arizona

I have fallen in love with a whole state...
Not just a good nor a great state.
But a fabulously sensual and drastically trance-forming state.
By no other name given, than Arizona.
I entered with a chip on my shoulder.
Rotten as the state of Denmark in Shakespeare's mind's eye.
Only to leave Sky Harbor reborn from the ashes of fiery turmoil.
As the mythical Phoenix.
Away I flew from my new love state.
While I entered the united state of me.
